The Volunteer Center in Sandnes was created in 1996 as a part of Sandnes Healthy

The Volunteer Center is a meeting place that provides contact between people in the local community - some need help while others want to help. Over time, many feel the roles change. The Volunteer Center is a place where the joy of being useful is the reward you get.

The Volunteer Center is owned by the municipality of Sandnes and is a part of Sandnes Healthy City. The Center has a separate board and a managing director. The company is run from its own premises.
 

Organizing voluntary work and giving the knowledge of practical and social levels to individuals, groups and associations. Management and monitoring of “natteravnene” in Sandnes. The Volunteer Central is also a meeting place for various organizations, groups, clubs and associations


The Volunteer Center has had a continuous development in relation to the development of its facilities and activities.
