Biography
Quyen Therese was born in Saigon, Vietnam and came to Norway with her family at the age of three.

She studied classical guitar at the conservatoire of the University of Trondheim, Norway and at the University of Music in Freiburg, Germany where she obtained her master’s degree.

Her multi-cultural background has sparked a strong desire for bridging the gap between Asian and European culture. Within this context she arranged and composed various award-winning Vietnamese folksongs embedded in a classical European setting.

Today Quyen Therese lives in Sandnes where she works as an instructor at Sandnes Kulturskole.

She frequently performs at concerts both as a soloist and in various ensemble constellations.

Quyen Therese engages as an artist for Rikskonsertene, the national concert series in Norway, as part of a project which has been nominated for best production 2009.
