The group was started in 1989 in Flekkefjord and was moved to Egersund after one year.
In 1998 all activities were moved to Sandnes City.

Tamil and other interested children between age group 5 to 20 years are trained in Barathanatiya and mixture of Tamil traditional and modern dances.

The group provided a children dance programme when Queen Sonja celebrated her 70th Birthday in Stavanger in
2007.
